is it just me or does it lag when you shoot a css real whepon? i mean my computer is fine is just why does almost every server use them?
here is my systems specs:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8200 @ 2.33GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.3GHz
Memory: 4096MB RAM
Card name: Intel(R) G45/G43 Express Chipset
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
yes. That is all the computer info i have.. all i am asking is if there is anything i can download or do to make it less laggy, because everytime i shoot it lags my computer up.
p.s: i know i could but another computer trolls but im just wondering what i can do with this one
Integrated Graphics ._.
what really pisses me off is that otherwise you have a pretty decent rig; there should be trading standards regulations against computer manufacturers selling computers based on memory and processor alone, when one of the most important components is shitty quality and good for nothing.
[editline]09:02PM[/editline]
And the reason they lag is because the "real" CS:S weapons use a bullshit particle effect that uses tons of graphics memory
so....theres no way of fixing it?
You would need to upgrade your graphics card.
aww to bad its intergrated into the mother board...is ther a way to upgrade an intergrated one?
You can buy a new graphic card and put it into your computer.
You buy a Graphics card and plug it into your motherboard, then plug your monitor into your graphics card. It overrides the integrated graphics.
Obviously this is all dependent on whether you have a desktop PC or not.
assuming you have a stationary computer
uhmm heres my computer

LOL
And that thing's pretty small, so I'd be surprised if you could even fit a decent card in there.
[editline]09:36PM[/editline]
Also aren't small PCs like that generally heat magnets, because everything is crammed together?
is anyone knows a card that cud fit i would be glad to know about it =D

A 5570 will "fix" your lag issue, however i suggest you get a low profile 5670.
whats the differnce?
whats the differnce?
The 5670 is more powerful, and should be around the same price.

Yes, there is a PCIe slot free at the top of the case according to this image :

(Look closely in the shadow of the upper part of the case).
i can find this card anywhere like at best buy?
I am not sure, you should be able to get it from newegg however.
Make sure it is a low profile model that only uses a single slot, else it wont fit.
Before you buy anything, make sure you know how to properly install computer parts. Make sure you earth the case while working on it to draw away static (simply leave the power cable plugged in and switched on).

That looks like it would be a tight squeeze. Would the heatsink fit in that tiny gap?

And this of course, most of the time you'll be safe from ESDs as long as you are not doing the moonwalk on a carpet wearing woolen shirts and mittens.
Yeah I learned I need to earth stuff the hard way; I fried an old geforce 5200. :v:

As long as it is a single slot card it will fit.

Dual slot :

No problem, a single slot card just means it takes up the space of a single slot, i'll look on newegg for ya.
