• What DarkRP mods would you expect from a good server?

[b]Preface[/b] I was playing DarkRP not so long ago, and it's quite fun. I do play other, more productive game modes as well, but recently it's been DarkRP due to nostalgia. One thing that ticks me off is the f***ing donations. Donate to do this, donate to do that, blah, blah. So I wolfed out a host from someone I know for a good while, and am setting up my own DarkRP server [b]WHICH IS ABSO-F***ING-LUTELY FREE OF DONATION CRAP. EVERYTHING IS ALLOWED![/b] [b]Get to the f***ing point already[/b] I am wondering what addons people can't DarkRP without these days. I already have these in mind: -Some weapon base that isn't m9k -Wire (Let's build a f**king deceptacon) -Durgz (Never go without) -Not Scars -Important non-vanilla STools for construction (Wing, Weight, Fin, Buoyancy, Measuring Stick, SmartSnap, etc) *I will update the list once in a while as the thread continues Any other suggestions? When I'm done setting up, I'll post the shiny new server's link.

Tbh, I'm having second thoughts on m9k. It's nice and all, but the file size tooo damn huge :/ [editline]21st January 2014[/editline] And from just a quick skim through FP and Google, it seems that SCars is really problematic when one tries to integrate it into the DarkRP D: Some sort of weird ownership problems..
If you did your research properly you would see that Falco added support for Scars.
I absolutely hate M9K guns. Try to figure out a way to add jobs/mods so it doesnt just end up like cops vs robbers like it always do.
I can't find myself expecting a good DarkRP server. The harsh reality is that almost all of them have corruption, have terrible playerbases, and the custom content generally feeds into all the above. Just make your own RP gamemode, and don't have rules or admins.

The last guy who became mayor in the server I played in kept getting shot when he tried to make speeches :P [editline]21st January 2014[/editline] While I was whoring out the money printers in my prop blocked base. I would say anything but M9K. It used to be cool but now it's just whatever. Remember the back in GMod 12 when all the servers used to run Mad Cows? In my opinion, those days were the best. As far as SCars, it's a must have. RP on evocity just isn't right without them.
M9K is just lame in my opinion. Customizable weapons is a much better set of guns, they feel really good, they handle somewhat like call of duty I would say. SCars just don't really handle too well, there's one other car pack that has much better handling but I can't remember the name.

I remember using it all the way back in GMod9
get leetnoobs FAS weapons, its the best gmod weapon base I've seen so far
I'll take a look at FAS. As for SCars, I just tested them on the server, and they lag like a b*tch when I drive them for some reason....
I think M9k is over used.
M9K - without edits - is bad in my opinion, the clientside FPS while firing some of them is terrible.
Try some of the Siminov SWEP packs or the TES:III weapons.
