Problem:
After the latest Gmod update which added the PHX content, I deleted PHX3 out of my addons folder. Everything worked like it should, I had the phx content still, due to the update. Later, I decided to clean my garrysmod folder out completely, by 'delete local content' in it's properties. I noticed that my new clean and shiny garrysmod folder was only 160mb. Ran the game and noticed I didn't have the PHX content.
The phx content doesn't want to download for me :(
I've tried:
- Running the game to force it to download updates
- Verifying the integrity of game cache
- Deleting local content again and re-downloading
- Updating drivers of all sorts
- Slapping the side of my monitor
Nothing seems to work...
Anyone know how to get it downloaded? Is anyone else having this problem?
It won't be in your GMod folder, its saved in the GCF. Go download gcfscape and open "garrysmod content.gcf" and extract the models to the sub-directories if you wish to see them.
Yea, It won't show up in your addon directory.
Also, in the spawn menu its now "General Construction props" instead of "[PHX] General Construction"
Ah, thanks for the replies. For some reason the .gcf mustn't have updated when it should have. It was around 200-300mb. I deleted it and tried to run gmod. Steam downloaded that file and now it's 800mb. The PHX content is now there :)
Thanks again guys. It's all fixed :D
