Why isnt gmod sold at a vid game store ?
it would be more acessible to people and it would probably raise up sales
also some ppl are afraid to use ccard online because they fear it could be hacked etc.
so why it isnt gmod sold at a store ?
It would cost too much to distribute.
Bear in mind Facepunch Studios is still a relatively small company.
maybe valve could help i mean they are the distribuers on steam
They're not retail distributers. EA handles that (at least for recent titles).

Considering Gmod is a mod for source, I don't think it will ever happen unless Gmod becomes a standalone game.

Well, they [B]did[/B] sell MW2 on disk.
The only difference is MW2 isn't a mod.

Now that was a fun game. Sure, it was different from the rest of the series, but that's beside the point. It was a fun game that anyone could pick up and enjoy, without having to know the story from 1/2.
EA are greedy bastards. Garry would get around 5% - 10% of the sales, if he went with EA. Currently, he gets 50% with Valve.

If this ever did happen I bet you there would be a lot of angry consumers who didn't care to read that it requires a source game beforehand.
Also, with the amount of patches and updates released, there would NEVER be a fully up-to-date version in shops.

Maybe he just discovered Valve/Source/Steam/Gmod. He can't know everything about it from the start. It may be simple for us, but not for newcommers.

They could only sell it in packages, like CS:S and GMod. Or
Start selling a "blue box" with include GMod, CS:S TF2 and complete HL pack.
Well they did have that bundle a while back that had CS:S, DoD:S and HL2:DM

That would cost around £50, defeating the point of GMod, cheap sandbox fun. Maybe if they just sold the CS: S & Gmod/ TF2 7 Gmod bundles, which could cost arounf £20/25.
But then again, it is a Mod.
and i dont think they are going to spend millions of dollars just to sell $10 games all over the world
