I just recently got a GT 240 to replace my aging 9500 GT. May not have been a wise investment, I could've shelled out more for a better PSU and a 460 GTX, but I'm lazy. Anyways, I launch Left 4 Dead 2 and see my FPS hitting around 90 on very high settings. Now, I pull up an empty gm_flatgrass on my 9500 GT's settings, and I'm getting 100 FPS max. This doesn't seem right at all, shouldn't I be getting twice that? Or is Gmod just terribly unoptimized? Even my 9500 GT did WAY better than that.
If any kind Facepuncher could help me improve my FPS, it would be greatly appreciated

Oh, I just checked out a clean copy of Gmod, it appears I'm getting 300 fps. Nevermind, this is pretty straight forward.
Your 300fps may be clamped.
fps_max is default 300.
