Hello FP
This might be a very basic problem in gmod. and that is that Sending Client Info is just freezing.
what i did:
- Removed the .blob file
- restarted PC
- first go to single player and then go to MP
- different server
- removed some recently installed files in my Gmod folder
- removed some recently installed files in my Server folder
Specs:
Ati Radeon HD 4770
4 GB ram
Foxconn motherboard G3IMX-K
Verified the game cache?

wanted to do that but steam says its not installed, but i clearly see the game the Steam folder
What on earth, that's odd, try re-installing?
Shall restart steam after, if that wont work i will re-install Gmod.
if nothing works i will email Steam support
Yeah, good luck, steam are terrible for support, but hope you get it sorted man.

Sometimes i know when i join a server it may seem like "Sending Client Info" freezes up; but it catches again. how long did you wait for it to catch up?
The last time i waited 5 minutes before i did ctrl alt delete
