i click the multiplayer button and nothing shows up, i have waited for more than 2 minutes and nothing has shown up, so what do i do, does anyone have a sollution
allright, first of all, Check your internet connection. Also, you can't play multiplayer if you didn't buy the game.

2 minutes isn't very long. Try waiting for about 5-10 minutes. If still nothing, check the console.

I bought the game, its not a crack, so i guess i will try 5-10 minutes and see if that helps
I just left the game on refreshing the server list over night and nothing shows up

That's not good - try restarting steam a few times, if it doesn't help, delete steam.dll and Clientregistry.blob in your Steam directory in Windows explorer.
And if that doesn't work *GULP* you'll have to see if reinstalling Steam works.
Or just spend loads of time searching the internet and see if you can find a solution.
A freinf of mine had this exact problem. The answer was simple though, he was behind a firewall that was blocking gmod. So, check your firewalls, make sure they say to allow Steam or Gmod through.
It's probably your internet connection but I'm not sure though cause when i dled synergy it did that to me the whole time and never showed a single server but others got servers :P but it may be your internet connection.
