So I can start up Gmod with no problem, but when i load a map, I get this error: I have tried pressing retry, but the same message pops up after a second or two. If it helps, I just defraged the game. Specs- - Intel Pentium Dual CPU T3200 @2.00GHz (x2) - Mobile Intel 4 series express chipset family. - vista home premium When i run the game, I typically have the launch options set to -dxlevel 81 +mat_forcehardwaresynce 0
At a glance it looks like your video card is the problem. I hope you aren't using an integrated Intel video card.... :ohdear:

We all know they suck BUT THEY WILL RUN MOST SOURCE GAMES and you will be able to play them (Exceptions I've found were L4D2 + TF2 after Source 2010 update).

Hm... have you updated your video driver? Maybe try restarting your computer (it works wonders!) <--- Potentially useless suggestion Also, reinstalling Garry's Mod could help...
Well I have a intel chip laptop but im always able to run source games. Try setting the launch options to '-dxlevel 80'
Problem popped up again. I've tried setting the launch options to '-dxlevel 80' and it had no affect on the game. I also realized that the Data Execution Prevention thing was shutting it down after clicking any of the buttons, so I allowed it, and the problem still rises each time. Any suggestions?
