I bought a server recently, and I know how to use FTP/server.cfg but I don't know how to use ULX, or even be sure its actually on my server. I apologize if you get angry that it might be in an obvious spot for you, (as in searching). I tried and I couldn't find it.
That, and I want to make this server an RP server with its own custom models/weapons for classes
I'm not sure how to do this exactly so if anyone could help me out I would appreciate it.
For an example maybe someone could show me how to use the Metropolice "http://www.facepunch.com/threads/780290-Metrpolice-NPCs-v4" from this addon as police chief/normal CPs; or to add the climb swep as a weapon that hitmen and thieves spawn with.
EDIT: There isn't a ulx folder in the server's addons folder, is it even an addon?

For ulx, I don't know how it works i use Evolve on my server (With some removed stuff).
To get your own classes/ models / weapons etc. Go here [url]http://wiki.garrysmod.com/?title=DarkRP-Menu[/url] DarkRP is very easy to edit yourself, that page explains everything.
I do recommend you get notepad++ so editing is easier!

Thank you for the link, I'm sure it will help me a lot. How do I set myself as a superadmin/server operator though?
ULX is obsolete, people have found ways around being gaged and shit just use this

Are you trying to ask how to give yourself admin with evolve or what?

If anyone can help, I've set up majority of my server but with a few small problems.
1. I have to enter rcon_password and set myself as a super admin every time I join
2. I don't know how to make it so that only gundealers can spawn guns at all
3. how do I make it so I can use metropolice NPCs and put them on the download list so people don't see errors when they join? if I can't just say so
EDIT: I got evolve, but when I try to add myself as owner it tells me that I'm not allowed to do that.
