[I][B][/B][/I]Hay, I want to install Gmod 9 (i like this game) but when i try to run it Steam says: "Cannot find executable". I reinstall it and it says: "Cannot find materials/console/startup_loading.vtf" or something like this. When i put any VMT file as the same name in this directory it says: "Cannot find library client". Help me because i hate these errors.

Why would you want to play Gmod 9? I can understand 10-12 but 9?

Because i like 9. It's very old but i like old games. Fast loading, good for map testing - i love it!
STOP spamming these useless threads. Gmod 9 is no longer supported and wont work with the stuff of today. and gmod 13 loads up just as fast (if not faster due to steam pipe) if you have only a few addons (or none at all).
It works fine for me, but I had to make modifications to get it to work with Steampipe.

Well, quite. However as of now, GMOD 9 has no servers running, therefore meaning that the playerbase is dead. But if you have a few friends who want to play MP GMOD 9, you can simply host a server and give them the IP address. (You might want to forward your ports, also you need HL2 and HL2: Deathmatch as a minimum requirement to join servers and to be able to play the game.)

If you want fast loading times for map testing use CS:S, it loads almost instantly. You'll need it for GMod 9 anyway AFAIK. GMod 13 loads faster then any previous versions, especially if you don't have any mods installed.
