I think I'm posting in the right place..
Anyway, with the offers that are on Steam at the moment, if I was to get Counter Strike: Source and Garry's mod, what will be missing from GMod itself, item-wise and such? I haven't a clue whether its worth getting or not.
It's worth getting, but try and get a bigger bundle CS:S & GMod doesn't offer you a wide variety of things to play or choose from.
I'd recomend Orange Pack and Gmod. This will get you pretty much eveything with exception for weapons. To be able to use downloaded guns you need to have CS:S and sometimes Day Of Defeat (for the old-fashioned ones).
Whatever, all depends on how much money are You willing to spend.
Right, so the Orange Box, CS:S and GMod is all I really need then?
Also, do people play CS:S much anymore?

Yes, if you get all that you will be able to use everything you download
In poland (where I live) CS is very popular.
Ok, I get it all in the end, Gmod sure has changed since '06.
Need some getting used to lol.
CSS is still a really popular game.
Orange box and CS:S are pretty much the only things needed to fully enjoy GMod.
