Fistful of Frags ANNOUNCEMENT - Garry's Mod

Greetings to the Facepunch Community, First of all I have to say, thank you for all the people that play our game, we all like it that the game get's what it deserves, a nice community, but lately we have had some bad reports so sorry for disturbing the peace, but the dev team of Fistful of Frags(FoF) has a little announcement: We have been seeing more and more ports of our weapons and models are showing up, and we don't really like it, because it's a copyright and it's Ryell's (the creator) lifework. You know, that text could be fake. I need some actual proof, like a picture of the email itself.

Can't happen. You may of worked something out with Garry ,but your weapons can still be ported to Garry's Mod. How is this so? You can't file copyright to anything inside a game unless you have your own base engine,your own company ,and are doing all your own work. If you need a simplified way of saying it.... Your models so called 'copyright' is about false as copyright to gamemodes. Unless you actually make an agreement form with Valve or make your own engine it's fair game to grab the models ,and redistribute them considering your allowing FoF to have a modding community.

If something could be done then wouldn't you think most leakers would be sued for all of their assets.

I myself am a big fan of Fof. But it is dying in a rapid rate. Madcows sweps revived it. There would be nobody on now theres a servers worth. Another reason it is lowering in numbers might be the fact that most people hoping for patches have lost hope.

Anything original is automatically copyrighted (In Britain, at least) You can't legally sell it, but you can take (Minor) action if anyone breaks the copyright. Also, please stop signing your posts, it makes you look as if you literately love yourself. I mean, I have a high opinion of myself, but I wouldn't go that far.

It's his Mod his Models and HIS work. So let it go... he doesn't anyone to port and distribute anymore and if you disagree then tough luck.
