• Removing green around blood decals?
    5 replies, posted
As a shoot em' up and zombie horror fan like myself I like to make saved games in Gmod and play them as a campaign, one of the main things I use is cusotm blood decals that I download. I found one pack I really like but it has the green square around each blood splat if there's more than one in a spot or if it's on a brighter surface, can anyone give me instructions on how to remove this or anything else.
Maybe you can search for the blood files in you're Garrysmod folder. And remove them.
It is not so easy. The files that are stock are locked away in the gcf. The only way to overide it is to put a texter in the same directory that the blood file is in. And, name it the same.
I got this problem with bullet holes in glass and metal materials. Anyone got a fix for this?
it's called bad transparency and it can be fixed by cropping out the decal in an image editing software and then giving it a transparent background.
I don't know how exactly to do that and I don't have any editing programs but if you or someone else is willing to help me this is where I found the pack http://halflife2.filefront.com/file/CS_Source_CrazD_Blood_Mod;43293 it just needs to be changed a little so the Green square is gone. I'd really appreciate the help.
