I'm not sure if I'm not forwarding ports properly, or I'm making my static IP wrong, or what, but even if i can surf the web, and it seems like its working, I'll be disconnected from the router whenever i start a listen server using the create multiplayer button in Garry's mod.(unless i have it set to dynamic ip)
it goes to 'limited connectivity', and I am unable to access the router. I have to turn off the modem, and unplug the router, wait 10 seconds, turn back on the modem, and then plug back in the router to get it to work again.
there might be a better way to fix the problem, besides the method I used above, but I don't know it.
the ports i forwarded are:
4380 udp
27014 - 27059 tcp
and
27000 - 27030 udp
i have a airlink 101 ar430w router
and im running windows vista.
not sure what other specs you'd need.
and I'd rather avoid posting my IP on the forum directly.

Eh, not much you can do with an IP anyways.

should I just give up then?
no starting a listen server to play with just my friends and myself?
oh well.
its been frustrating enough trying to get it to work, i guess i wouldn't mind giving up.
