OOK, i go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\dbmelville\garrysmod\garrysmod, but there's no addons folder. Whats UP with THAT? I'm using windows 7 and i just installed garrys mod because my old computer died and i got a new one. IS anyone else having this problem, can anyone HELP?

What the fuck is going on in this thread? Seriously. Just start Garry's Mod and the folder will create itself, if it doesn't then use your common sense and create the folder yourself.

Try running gmod as admin?
Try manually extracting the gcf with GCFScape?
Delete the Garrysmod folder and restart garrysmod?
Make the folder your self?
I think i read somewhere that steam messed up with the files that had to be extracted from the GCF.
You need to launch garry's mod at least once for the folder to be created. Try launching it and then see if there's a folder.
With no real knowledge (So maybe this is dumb, or wouldn't help) could you make the folder yourself?
Like people had to make a folder themselves in order to use mods for Just Cause.

You could just create the addons folder. But you really should start GMod at least once before filling it up with addons.
