[RANT] PHX3 full pack ETC - Garry's Mod

Am I the only one who thinks ALL these uploads like "Phx3 Full Pack" SHOULD be deleted? Cant Garry, or someone else do ANYTHING about it?? I mean, come on!! Theres "Do not upload to garrysmod.org.txt" file in the addon! And yea, that ADV.duplicator shit should be deleted too! Hell, ban the uploader too! This is F'in pissing me off! people SHOULD LEARN to use SVN, and Garrysmod.org requires admins, to delete all this stuff that should not be uploaded to garrysmod.org. "PHX3 Full pack" is HIGHLY outdated. Who agrees with me? Actually, The PHX3 team is pissed off from this, because the downloaders are bitching to them about the errors on the servers. they want everyone to use the svn. Also, how can i report stuff? :/

I dont get what the big deal is, it works fine.

The deal is that every is outdated, and a few has even contained lua-viruses. Im tired having people on my server asking why they see errors then say they downloaded PHX from garrysmod.org

Most of what I report is deleted.

In what email address do you report stuff then? i really hate all the people who upload stuff, that should not be uploaded without a permission to do so, and then "thank you! 100,000 downloads! im awesome!"

It has been 6 hours that I have uploaded some textures and now its been re uploaded buy a faggot. What could I do?

The reason is that SVN isn't a distribution method, stop tinkering and make a proper release already. Nobody wants to have to install some shitty system they don't understand just to play online.

SVN is used to reduce the hassle to keep people updated with new scripts, bugfixes and content. Devs use it so we don't have to constantly upload new versions of X content several times and worry if someone has an outdated version. They use it to make sure that everyone is on the same level when solving problems or adding new content. PHX is still being updated believe it or not. Why don't you go see? Is it that hard to follow the simple easy to follow instructions to set up an SVN? You really have to be computer illiterate not to be able to set up an SVN. Also, use it or lose it when it comes to SVN.

It's kind of BS to have to install Tortoise SVN or something, just to install a Gmod addon...although, I do it because I have to.

SVN doesn't work right on Vista so I have to get it off garrysmod.org.

Not my Vista. The stuff that's supposed to show up when right-clicking on a file with Tortoise SVN doesn't show up. And I'm too lazy to find alternatives.
