Have to download files everytime i join dark rp server?

Why do i have to download files every time i join a dark rp server? is this normal?

You have to get all the files from Garrysmod.org Some servers use custom files that you have to get from their website, and some you just can't get, and you have to deal with it.
If you get the most recent version of DarkRP, you'll probably be fine

It's usually the server's customizations of DarkRP that you end up downloading as that one Lua cache file. You will have to download that Lua cache file for pretty much every different DarkRP server you join. If you are downloading models, textures, etc, then you are simply downloading the server's custom content.
