well i have a few problems with my garrysmod and i think that they are probably caused by this new update thing that everyone is complaining about.
PROBLEM 1: when i start up Gmod my resolution is making everything huge and blurry and i dont know why, and after that when the loading bar at the bottom of the screen gets to "initializing serverside" the whole screen except for my mouse turns black and just stays like that until i end hl2.exe.
PROBLEM 2: the water is gone on certain maps and on others the top of it is white while the bottom has a lua error and a lua error on the bottom of the body of water.
PROBLEM 3: (this one i have always had) when i minimize Gmod i cant maximize it again. this also happens when it goes into screensaver or sleep mode.
PLEASE HELP ME I BEG OF YOU.
also i am not computer literate. so if you try to help me than state what i have to do and how to do it.

problem 1. Let it run unless windows tells you its crashed, Shallow system memory?, bogged down processor?
problem 2. adjust your video settings. Common problem on laptops and intel onboard graphics.
problem 3. This is a common issue, turn off sleep mode and screen savers when playing gmod, this is a tell tell sign your video card isnt caught up yet to reload the window and its content, You see this ALOT on laptops and onboard intel graphics.

your fix for problem 1 wont work, i have already let it set there and it just stays a black screen, also i just reformatted my computer so i have just about as much memory for a couple more games.
your fix for problem 2 wont work either because i had my water settings set to default before the reformatting and it worked fine, now they are at default and are not fine.
your fix for problem 3 is just not convenient either. what if i am in Gmod and need to watch a tutorial? the shift overlay is to slow and i would have to minimize Gmod but i would not be able to go back in each step of the tutorial.

OK NEW PROBLEM!
alright my problem 1 has been "fixed" for now by means unknown. but the resolution is still making things huge and blurry, and when i try to set the resolution to something better, it goes back to my desktop with a black square taking up a quarter of my screen. which brings me back to problem 3 where i cant go back into garrysmod.
OK THAT NEW PROBLEM ONLY HAPPENED TWICE! BACK TO THE PROBLEM 1 NOW! TELL ME HOW TO FIX BOTH!
