I made a thread about this before but it was in H&S so it was buried pretty quickly.
There is a big problem affecting many servers right now. I'm not sure what triggers it. Basically, there is a 90% chance that if you host in the US/Canada then Euro players will not be able to see your server in the server list. Same for US/Canada players trying to find Euro servers. Every host and player I've talked to has this problem except for one. One way to get around this (sometimes) is to use the legacy browser and tick off "Has users playing" but it is a piss poor solution.
If you live in Europe, try refreshing the server list fully and see if you see any gmod tower servers. None of my European friends see it. Try comparing screenshots of each other's server list sorted by players if you live across the ocean.
No response from valve about it and garry has no idea. This has been going on for about a month as far as I know.

Noticed something similar myself recently and I was trying to work out what the hell was going on given that I cant see servers on my machines based in the US off the new browser.
I thought it was just my GMod acting up, guess not
Edit:
Possibly related, after some tinkering it seems the master servers US-East filters aren't working properly. I'm getting various EU servers appear, but it only occurs with that filter.
I can't seem to find my servers using the Garry's Mod server browser (I haven't tested legacy browser).
My servers are in the US, and I live in the UK.
The server browser shows me nothing be it the legacy browser or not. My favorites works fine it seems. Same goes for steams generic server browser shows nothing. I think its all undergoing some work...
That's a different issue. You can fix it by going in to your steam settings and setting it to only query 500 servers at once. They seem to think that we all have connections capable of thousands of queries at once.

I tried using sv_region with different values but it didn't matter.
bump for answers.

It also seems that Netgear routers aren't working well with refreshing the server browser in Garry's Mod. It always crashes my internet for a couple of minutes when I refresh the server browser.
Yeah well that's hardly related and you can fix it with a setting in steam. This is a problem with valve's master servers.

Thanks for information! Not known when this fix?
Bump?
Anyone ever fix this issue?
Nope, still an ongoing issue.
Bump, happens for me too.
I tried gmod for the first in in a few years yesterday. I thought it had completely died, because I only found a few dozen servers with players. Most of which were trouble in terrorist town. Only a few sandboxes, which totalled around a dozen players.
Bump, still happens for me; really unfortunate I cannot see any non-EU servers :/

Shouldn't you get all the EU servers, or is Finland set to a different region?
