ok so i kept getting the error"HL2.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close blah blah blah." so i took the HL2.exe off my laptop and deleted my old one on my desktop and put the one from my laptop on and created a shortcut to it, then i tried to start it and it gave me another error saying it couldn't find gameinfo.txt so i moved hl2.exe and gameinfo into the same folder then i got another error that it cant find launcher.dll but i copied that too and put it right next to hl2.exe and gameinfo.txt [IMG]http://i29.tinypic.com/20u37y9.jpg[/IMG] and i dont know if it matters but here is the error when i try to start gmod [IMG]http://i32.tinypic.com/9awye9.jpg[/IMG]
You have to own the game on a steam account, and run it in steam.
