Yeah, RuneScape is shit. And yup, RP is shit. But what happens if you combine the two?

RuneRP is a new RP gamemode set in the time and place of RuneScape. Unlike most RP gamemodes, it's not a simple edit of Dark RP, it's an entirely new gamemode coded from scratch.
You can talk to the various citizens that live in the town, find out news from them, and some of them will even be prepared to sell you items, for gold of course.

In RuneRP, you can challenge another player to a fight. If they accept, you are both taken to an arena, and you can decide an amount of money that the loser has to pay the winner.

I was wondering when something like this would surface. Sounds like fun, it might be half decent.
It does actually sound interesting.
People may think this game is for kids, and some agree. But damn this was the only MMO that I ever even became interested in. So I support you!
Runescape would be decent if it had a better community.
As long as you nurture your more mature members this gamemode could become something great.

I started only a couple of hours ago, but it's something that I'll be working on every day.

Looks different and interesting, Maybe in the future you could talk to/grab/make some custom models to use for weapons.

Something really needs to be cemented, otherwise this thread will become a flame war and such. Get Something substantial to show, or else you will just get negative comments.
Its how FP works, someone posts something flame-able, it gets flamed. Otherwise it gets left alone.
Nothing here is cemented, just a few pictures of a map and npcs.

Eh. He is making a MMO based on runescape, maps are being made and it's a big WIP. They currently have two servers, one donated by "Gary" and one donated by me, each will take place in a different area of the map. He is currently setting up player spawns, the inventory and other systems like the shop/npc.
Should waited until you had something presentable before you created a thread, that seems to be the main problem people can't solve on Facepunch.
Okay, well don't derail his thread any more, just leave it be then, keep it to questions and suggestions and discussion?
