Garry's mod lua virus

So i just joined a server, and a man/boy popped up on my screen some music went playing and my game started lagging out my friends got spammed with this:

got black screen then i stopped my pc
after i read some threats about it

And i found that i have to delete CFG, LUA, CACHE which was what i did

Now i havn't opened gmod since idk what could happend if anyone know if its good or bad to open gmod at this time

What i recommend is

**BE CAREFUL WHICH SERVER YOU JOIN, ANY SERVER COULD HAVE THIS LUA VIRUS EVEN ANY ADDON! BE CAREFUL AND SHUTDOWN YOUR OWN SERVER AS THEY COULD HACK YOUR RCON PASSWORD AND ADD/DELETE FILES!**

IK, i just wanted to say, what i recommend and if my computer/game is safe after what i deleted

It's been patched but my patch still clears up anything Garry missed.
