I can't seem to find out where to put my addons. I tried search, but 'Mac' is to short a term.
Isn't there just an addon folder?
throw MAC away and get a PC with windows.
Googling "Garrysmod mac addons" has [url=http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1441922]this steam forum thread[/url], where one of the replies explains exactly where to put them.
Library/Application Support/Steam/Steamapps/Your username here/Garrysmod/Garrysmod/
Also, if it's a map, install it in Garrysmod/Garrysmod/Maps, unless it's one of those few maps than come packed as an addon. If you can't find the Steam directory, just search for it in Finder.
