Hello there
I just bought Garry's Mod a couple of days ago and I decided to build a fort. It was going well until I got to the part of saving. It has 162 props, but no constrains at all.
I tried Smart Welder 2.1 with many different settings, but it just couldn't weld the fort well. It said things like '284 props selected' when I had only 162, also Smart Welder just auto-selects the whole fort when the range is set to 5.. Sometimes I even get infinite loop errors, gah. It rarely happens, but if I can weld the fort and save it with Adv Dupe its collision is messed up, I always get stuck in invisible things, which are not there.
My questions to you are -
Are you having problems like this? How do you fix it if so?
Is there an addon which 'links' the props together, so I can save it with Adv Dupe, and I don't have to weld them together?
I am looking forwards to any suggestions,
Daedritz
SmartConstraint and Easyprecision
And TB's Duplicator
Also, if you're making a fort, and it's not going to be moving anywhere, don't SmartWeld/SmartConstrain it. If it's going to be frozen anyway, then there's no point.

Yeah, but I still need to save it, and if I dont weld it then Advanced Duplicator only copies 1 prop. Or is there something I dont know?
Last time I checked, Adv. Duplicator copies a whole contraption, but I think it has to be welded together or something like that.

That doesn't mean you have to Smartweld/Smartconstrain it, since they weld every prop to every other prop in the fort, creating a fuckton of welds.
All you'd have to do is weld one prop to another, and make a chain.
Alternatively, Adv Dupe has a function where if you Shift (I think it's shift) + Click the second (and third, and fourth... you get the idea) prop, it will all spawn together, regardless if whether or not it's welded.
@DeathDoom
I see. Selecting hundreds of props manually is a madness tho. SmartWelder has an option to Weld all props to one, so it's only 1 weld per prop. But I am still in trouble when Smart Welder just doesn't want to work :\
@mankind_me
Yeah, I think we all knew that :P
