I went into steam username gmod gmod but the addons folder wont show up even after doing validating it in steam. If you know a solution please tell me.

i didnt know if it wold work if i made it my self
If it doesn't appear next time, run gmod.
Because if you install it, folders don't get created, if you run it, they do get created
