Do you own a dedicated server or is it ran through the "Create Multi player". If its a dedicated server go to this link to update it. [url]http://wiki.garrysmod.com/?title=Windows_Dedicated_Server_Setup[/url]

update gmod through steam and extract all the files from the G-Mod GCF over your server files, it should be updated

Will you please provide us with more information? You never confirmed whether or not you were trying to run a listen server or a SRCDS server. Although one can probably assume you are running SRCDS, right?
What didn't work? Were you provided any errors? Are you having problems with a step in the process? Please, help us help you.
