How does SuperDoF work? I saw a video on Garry's blog, but when I try it, the camera moves in a circular motion, but nothing happens in the way of blurring things. I have tried changing the Focus distance/blur size sliders to various different setings, to no avail. And no, it isn't my video card drivers, I updated them recently. My card is good enough for me to play Garrysmod on max settings with no lag. Thanks for reading this far.
To get the SuperDoF to work, you need to hit the render button since unlike the normal DoF, SuperDoF does not render live.

Sort of already tried that. Thanks for the reply, though.
Did SuperDoF work before the update that broke it? I say this because SuperDoF is very experimental, and doesn't work on all graphics cards. What, precisely, is your graphics card? You can find out by going into your Command Prompt (search for "cmd" in Vista/7 or go to Run... then type "cmd" in XP).
EDIT: Actually, my apologies. I've just tried out SuperDOF since the update, and I have a very similar problem to you. The screen seems to flash an awful lot, and seems to shake about in circles, but one of two things happen:
1) If the blur size is small, it works, but with an awful brown-grey translucent square over the top-right corner.
2) If the blur size is larger, Gmod simply stops responding. There's the same brown-grey square over the top-right, and the rest is black. I need to kill hl2.exe to stop it.
I have an Intel E5200 and an ATI 4850 which managed to use SuperDOF perfectly before all the updates, and even after the initial update where people were complaining about this crash. Seems like a very strange bug, I just hope it'll be fixed soon.
ATI Radeon 9800 XT. I never really tried SuperDoF before the update, never knew what it was.
