We're having a LAN party coming up and we're gonna use Gmod as a main game. However, most of my friends just suck at construction and anything complicated, so I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for fun stuff to do on a server.
They can be just things you do in sandbox, or particular gamemodes, whatever you can think of. A good example is a game we played on my old server once, where players ran around on the wood boxes as a floor that were elevated up in the air, and one person on the ground shot out the boxes, the last person standing won.
Just short quick stuff like that is awesome, but gamemodes are great too like exploding barrels and terrorist town. Tell me what you think.
If you're willing to try construction, spacebuild is good fun. You could also try Gmod Parkour.

They're too retarded to build anything. I haven't played Gmod for like 2 years, can someone explain what fretta is? I get that it's some sort of network for gamemodes and development but I don't quite understand.
How do I host my own fretta server? I think that might work.

Fretta , is a gamemode which can host multiple gamemodes i think , like : GarryWare , ZombieSurvival , DeathMatch , stuff like that.
They have to AT LEAST know how to make simple cover.
Deathmatch.Get lots of gun mods.
You do know that Gmod was recently updated to include TTT (Trouble in Terrorist Town) and Dog Fight Arcade, right?
Those are some pretty good games to play and you don't event have to download anything else!
TTT is probably your best bet, it's great fun in groups.
I recommend TTT aswell.
Fun for groups, won't get old fast.
TTT, its better than half the useless shit you can add.
I love TTT but at a LAN we can easily see everyone's screens so then the traitor will be given away.
