Issue with Play Scene Tool

So I downloaded this:

I pasted the folder to my addons folder and went in-game. Looked like it worked; I could see the tool on my menu the same way it's shown as in the second screenshot on that page. Though when I click on the tool, I see no .vcds, be them the default HL2 ones, nor any of my custom ones.

I really can't understand what I'm doing wrong, though then again I'm pretty new to all of this, so I probably just made a newbie mistake... Can someone shed some light on what I might have done or how to get this working? I like working with GMod better than Hammer for making machinima scenes, and if this tool works I'd be pretty happy.

Hell, if someone could tell me the commands to execute .vcds manually that would also suffice (thought learning the tool would be pretty cool); I've been Googling for a while but can't find them.
