• Problems with NPC animations!

Before the details, here's my system's specs: OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit CPU: Intel Core i3 540 @ 3.07GHz RAM: 4.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 800MHz GRAPHICS: ATI Radeon HD 5500 Series This NPC animation problem is pretty recent. I host a home dedicated server. First of all, I thought it was some addon that could be causing this, but I also encountered the problem even on a cleaned up garrysmod folder (server). So then I thought maybe something is not right with the HLDSUpdateTool I was using (if I remember correctly, it was Slayer's version) -- So I decided to start from scratch, and followed the instructions on the GMod Wiki (http://wiki.garrysmod.com/?title=Windows_Dedicated_Server_Setup) -- I did everything accordingly, however, I didn't think it would be an issue, so I moved the hl2, tf, dod, cstrike and hl2mp folders, and simply ran the update once more. I don't have the fastest internet, so I tried saving some time. I don't think any files would be missing, and if there was the update should have covered it up. The only folders I didn't re-add is the Episode 1 and 2 content, Portal content, Lost Coast and HL1:Source. (If anyone could provide me more details in extracting the right folders needed for the server, I would gladly appreciate it. Already aware I need GCFScape to do this, but there are many .gcf files, and I'd like to make sure I extract the right folders) So, I ran the server once more, and I still get the animation issue. Not sure what else it could be. :/ Here's a video I recorded: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlOt082yzwQ Thanks in advance.
You need to extract source 2007 anim files from the gcf
You need to extract source 2007 anim files from the gcf
There are a bunch of source 2007 .gcf's source 2007 shared materials, source 2007 shared models, source 2007 shared sounds, source 2007 binaries 1, and source 2007 binaries 2. Which one contains the animation files? How can I tell which ones they are?
I believe they're in the Binaries, but I could be wrong. Check them out, report back.
I will edit this post if I find anything, but I'm not sure what kind of filetype I'm looking for. Edit: Well both source 2007 binary folders have the same files except source 2007 binary 2 has more. I can't tell which are the animation files I need. But I'd take a wild guess and say it's the "scripts" folder? And if so... Would it be a problem to just take the whole folder and extract it? Does it go in orangebox/hl2 or srcds/hl2 ? Sorry for the barrage of questions. :P But I don't want to make a mistake and make things more complicated. Edit: Solved the problem, even if it took me an all-nighter. For some reason many files were missing, and I even tried updating twice. So I just manually extracted the models from source shared 2007 models.gcf
