The site has been getting slower and slower, and at times, has even gotten faster than we actually believed it could because of how slow it was.
Now, it's just...slow. It lags the hell out of my browser when opening a tab (note; lag only lasts a couple seconds, but when opening tabs, this is annoying as hell).
Is there not a facepunch-wide poll that we can vote on to clear alot of stuff? Not neccessarily everything, but just a big chunk of it all taken away. Alot of the stuff on gmod.org is forgotten. I say, if it hasn't had any downloads within the past 62 hours, then it should be removed.
Why do you want stuff removed? Why do you think that would make it faster?
Do you think your browser is "lagging" because there's too many files on the site? It isn't showing them all on one page is it?
It might be the people that go onto the website and download the files which slows down the bandwith. I don't know, but it seems like a logical reason.
Having too many files on the site is not what's slowing the site down. This is a common misconception.
It runs perfectly fast for me. Maybe its just your internet connection being slow at the moment? Mine as terrible last month.
My internet connection is really not that slow. If I go on garrysmod.org, it's just really slow compared to any other website.
