I was just downloadng a whopping 300mb map size? Is this large? Or average because it seems way too much??

Never mind, I have compared it to a selection of other maps, it's oversized. It's the Casino TTT map, probably because it has a interactive game or something. Atleast the map is still good!
The map is massive because everything on it (assuming you're talking about ttt_casino) is 100% custom. I don't think there is a single CSS/HL2 texture or model on it.
Average is about 30mb
