Since you're going to become a fellow HL2 RP server owner I thought I'd drop some hopefully helpful experience. Before we rented a dedicated server in LemonPunch, we used Daemon Servers who offered great service - reliable hosting and friendly support essentially. The main pro I can see with other hosts would be DDOS mitigation. NFO servers used to have the best reputation back when I relied on shared hosting, but I'll have to admit that the hosting supply may very well have changed and improved on that front. HC-Servers seem to highlight some sort of mitigation, so they may be a good option as well now a days.
