After our chat about GTXGaming yesterday I decided to actually look at GTXGaming and see if that ticket was a one time event.
I didn't mean to post anything about it, but what I found was so "shocking" that I felt to urge to post this.
You might think that I cannot make an objective review on them because I work for a GSP myself, but I can assure you that everything in this post has not been edited, tampered with or inflated in any way to make them look even worse.
Let's start off with their server performance.
I looked up an ip from their services. I will admit, they seem to run on a decent network (i haven't loadtested them as I didn't find a gmod server.). The pings seem fine from both europe and US.
But here's my problem: What do you expect when you pay for services? I'd say that would be a decent server and decent service. Their servers seem good.
But now lets talk about their service.

Their childish and unprofessional way of servicing this client is unacceptable for any standards. But everyone has his bad moments and maybe they evolved and learned from their mistakes, so I decided to give them another chance. I know I'm being a difficult client here, but he could've given me professional advice and he looks like he doesn't know what he's talking about.
(i'm sorry for the 3 screenies, couldn't find a decent way of getting the full chat without having to make it into a new document that looked like it was edited. and yes, I'm aware of not being 100% realistic in the DDoS attack scenario, but this is about his responses)

Basically he cut me off at the end of the chat. I wasn't finished.
I've also been browsing their forums. They seem to not care about the spambot posts in their testimonials and such, while that's obviously a forum that should stay clean.
To sum it up, they seem to have the most immature staff in the hosting business and I suggest you take a good look at them before getting a server.
It angers me to see people act like that towards people who are/could become PAYING customers. They have been around for quite a while now. I wonder how they pulled it off...
I hope this counted as good consumer advice for you.
Never buy from GTX Gaming, Worst host, Oh and I now know that "Jason Orange" and "Matt" are both the same person. He's pretending to be two people for some reason, Probably making his "Host" look popular and busy.

I'm the client in the first ticket there, which has been since spread around the internet and I hope it brings down their sales a bit. They're rude, obnoxious and their servers are heavily unprotected. I've had 5 or 6 garry's mod servers from them in the past and all of them have died in some way. I had to close the first two due to them having constantly high ping (probably due to them overloading their servers).
I first posted the ticket on facepunch, which was soon spread to other sites (4chan etc) and the owner of GTXGaming found my phone number and called me, begging me to take down the thread as he was getting a lot of hatemail because of it. He "blackmailed" me into staying quiet, by offering me a supposedly free server forever. That wasn't the case, the server expired a few months ago, and the owner of GTX said the server was only free for a little while. This isn't what he said on the phone to me. My support account and all evidence of the tickets has since been deleted manually by either matt or jason.

From your post on GTXGaming you look like a fake customer set up to make other customers think there is good support. Calm down, it's a mature discussion.

Might just be a coincidence, but the fact GTXGaming is based on the UK and that you are aswell is quite suspiscious.

@bubbagamer i have said this over and over i am not a representative of gtx gaming, i use them because 1.I am British(and proud of it) so i get great pings, 2.because i find there support great(better then multiplay)

also may i add that GTX Gaming are only resellers of Blue square, this is where all the boxes are hosted, so the management is done by blue square not GTX and from what i can tell after doing so searches bluesquare are good at countering DDOsses

I actually hope they do. I've never used them myself (Don't tell my girlfriend but I'm having an affair with KillerCreation.co.uk haha), but it'll be nice to have them give their point of view.

A datacenter doesn't manage your servers, not does it offer any kind of DDoS protection. Their end products are offering you the rack, security, power and connection. I'm yet to find a datacenter that does anything for you related to network management on your side.

no the server are @ blue square which are purchased of them with whome provide the networking and protection,

I'm pretty sure hetzner.de filter traffic on request - to help mitigate attacks over 100mbps.

I'm pretty sure they don't do it automatically. Meaning GTX would have to request it; which from what we've seen: they don't.

I actually meant professional datacenters then rent out larger racks.
@damien; I don't see any dedicated server offers with them. They only seem to rent out bulk rackspace.

For someone not related to GTX you seem to know an awful lot about the things they don't tell the public.....
lol i talk to matt alot on msn about my own dedi server i rent from them, i do my research ;)
Why would you do some research on them and talk a lot about your dedicated server to Matt if you're totally satisfied of the service they're renting you?
1, I have only just recently started using a dedi from them so i wanted to know the protection before that i had multiple CoD4,Gmod and l4d2 servers, 2.because its the kinda thing you do before you buy something find out as much info as posible otherwise it would be me buying a graphics card without researching into it and then finding it may be crap...
Can you post the IP of your GMod server? I'd like to test it.
