Deleting the scripts folder should not affect Garry's Mod's ability to function, as when you start the game it should re-copy the default scripts folder and scripts from the Garry's Mod GCF Archives, I'm not sure but try Verifying the games cache files, to do this, go to the steam library and right click on Garry's Mod, then properties, now click the Local Files tab, and click on Verify Integrity of Game Cache. This may take a little while to do, but hopefully it will fix the problem you are having, if not, please try to post more details about the problem.
Follow these steps and it might solve your problem: 1. Download and install GCFScape http://nemesis.thewavelength.net/index.php?p=26 2. Run GCFScape 3. Go to File>Open and open steam/steamapps/garrysmod content 4. From the program, go to the garrysmod folder. 5. Find the scripts file and right click it 6. Extract it to steam/steamapps/<username>/garrysmod/garrysmod to get the default garrysmod scripts. If that doesn't fix your error, uninstall the weapon pack and see if that helps.
