Steam Friends. - Garry's Mod

Randomly, I get disconnected from Steam friends. Now, you're probably saying, "What's this got to do with GMod?" Whenever I get disconnected from the friends list, whatever server I'm on, I get kicked off because I "Could not connect to the VAC server" Do not say it's because of the TF2 F2P update, because I've been getting this for about a year now. Also, do not blame my internet, because this does not happen on my alternate account. I am also disconnected from CS:S stuff. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I do not know if this has anything to do with it (don't see why it would) I'm VAC Banned from these games Counter-Strike: Source Beta Half-Life 2: Deathmatch Half-Life 2: Lost Coast Zombie Panic! Source Age of Chivalry Synergy D.I.P.R.I.P. Warm Up Eternal Silence Portal Portal: The First Slice Pirates, Vikings, and Knights II Dystopia Team Fortress 2 Team Fortress 2 - Premium DLC Source Dedicated Server Half-Life 2: Demo Spacewar Counter-Strike: Source Garry's Mod isn't in there so that shouldn't be the issue. Crap, forgot the automerge timelimit. Sorry.

Sorry, was just me assuming you were a pirate since the typical pirate uses a steam account missing any pay-for games at all as his. Anyway, I honestly don't see the problem here - I've had that problem too, but a restart fixed it for me. Since you say you've had the problem for a year, something's obviously not clicking between your computer and Steam. Might ask Steam to take a look at your account, see if there's anything preventing you from reaching their VAC servers?

It might be a issue because Gmod uses CSS/TF2 as a "base" so you might also be VAC banned in Gmod because of that.

VAC bans you from all of the games with the same engine. I hacked in CS:S (which I do regret) but at the moment Garry's Mod didn't have VAC Enabled so I'm not vac banned in that. And I can't be vacced from Garry's Mod, commandhat, or I couldn't join the servers in the first place. [editline]30th June 2011[/editline] Apparently my ports weren't open. My ports are still open but I'm still getting this. I've noticed that this is in console sometimes ClientSteamContext OnSteamServerConnectFailure logged on = 0 CClientSteamContext OnSteamServersConnected logged on = 1 CClientSteamContext OnSteamServersDisconnected logged on = 0 And it just keeps spamming that.
