I've been recently trying to change my playermodel for it has suddenly reset on me. No matter what I try, it stays at the default Kleiner model despite using appropriate commands (cl_playermodel playermodelname) or via the Q menu.
Not exactly sure what to do, but it even stays like this in MP. What gives, Facepunch?
Now only a few models work, eg. Odessa and CP. All citizen models don't work either.

Oops, forgot about automerge's timer.
In order to change model you have to respawn, try killing yourself. (no im not trying to be an ass, i mean spawn a turret in game and shoot yourselof with it after selecting a new player model.) This should fix it.
I've done this many times prior. Nothing still happens.
And no, I'm not a GMod "noob". I've owned it for years.
Reinstall garry's mod or verify cache files?

I'm not trying to be an ass. I'm just saying that before people like you make stupid assumptions that I'm fairly new to Garry's Mod or some sort.

I didn't make that assumption. I didn't even know that till last week and i have been playing for more than year. Remember, you asked for help.
The point is don't ask for help and then get defensive and call people 'stupid' when they try to help you.
I am having the same problem i can not change my model from kleiner in lan or singleplayer i have re installed garrysmod but still was not able to get it work. and yes i tried killing my self multiple times

already tried, as stated in the OP
