Which Admin system should i use? ULX, ASSmod, or Evolve? - Garry's Mod

Hello, i am wondering which admin system i should use for my system. I have used ULX, ASSmod, and Evolve but they all seem to have their problems. I would like to make my server have certain abilities for Donators. I was trying to make the Donators be able to spawn a car but i can seem to find a way to do that without them being able to spawn a gun or something else that i don't want them spawning. I wasnt able to find a way to do this in ULX or Evolve but i do recall being able to do that in ASS. ASS just isnt good anymore though. another thing i would like to have is a Nice looking MOTD for the server. So which admin system should i use?

ULX is very nice, Evolve is really nice when it comes to fun and games, ASSmod is only good if you are trying to set up easy ranks for VIP's and such.

I have always used ASSMod, all other mods find one way or another to not work properly :v:

iirc evolve still has that neat looking menu and chatbox, should go with that.

Back then in 2009 ASSmod was my favorite admin mod. But i guess now it's broken. I suggest Evolve.

AssMod. My clan uses it, and they say it is easy to setup and use.

Evolve is sleek, and simple. I used to use ULX and/or ASSmod before Evolve was out and man, Evolve has no problems. If there are problems Overv is quick to fix them too.

I use ULX but it has to many issues, switching to Evolve

ULX via SVN is best. I've been a server owner for a few years now, It does what I need to do and quickly. Not to mention it has a good community around it who actually fix things when they need fixing. [URL="http://ulyssesmod.net/"]ulyssesmod.net[/URL]

If i decide to use Evolve would i be able to set permissions to respected players? like if i want them to be able to spawn a car but still have weapons restricted to them.

I suggest Evolve. It's the best in my opinion.

Try a different one each week and see which one [i]you[/i] like the best. Rivalries between the mods aside, all the developers want to make something that will please the community, but each of us has a different idea of what that is.

Use Evolve. ULX SVN is fairly laggy on busy servers with a lot of bans and player data, and ASSMod hasn't been updated in ages, and sucks.

Currently, I'm using Evolve on my TTT server, It's really cool but there is a feature missing, like you need to type in the chat to ban/kick someone with a custom reason. ULX is really easy to use too. They improved it so much with XGUI thing. ASSMod, It was great but you can use it if you gonna host perp, wich I dont recommend.

ULX, it's still supported, unlike the other two.

Okay Megiddo, when we tried ULX out I Love couldn't noclip even though he was root_user in DarkRP AND ULX. Sometimes it wouldn't even recognize us as admins.

For those who may be curious, I worked with I_Love and it turns out the problems he was having came from DarkRP/FAdmin.

I recommend ULX, it even has a gui now - way back when it didn't I would still prefer it over the other two [I]as they are now[/I].

Went to Evolve, havent missed a thing. Plugins are easy, and no having ULib.

I personally use our own custom admin mod, it works quite nicely. We based it around our game mode.
