How well Will Gmod Run On this computer? - Garry's Mod

I'm getting a new computer and I want to know how high and I can set Gmod and how well it will run. Specs: i7 Quad Core 920 12 GB RAM 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GTS 240 Windows 7 Sound Blaster X-Fi Some WLAN card

That computer will literally handle any game you throw at it, most likely on maximum.

Damn, my techy friend keeps yelling at me because I left everything at base. But I knew inside it was kickass. How do you think something like Fallout 3 Would handle? and one of the best parts: Steam and Portal pre-installed.

I'm tellin you, that goddamn thing will play Crysis on max. I want it. Gimme. :argh:

It was actually really cheap for what it is I think, I'm not going to say the actual price but it was under $1700 (USD)

Yea it will run Gmod veryy good. It has nice specs. Also, if you'd have built it yourself, you would have got it for way cheaper. Just an advice, deskop computer are better when build by yourself. And cheaper.

And crappy computer can run source alone. I had a labtop with some off-brand shitty graphics card and 194mb of ram and some shitty 1.4ghz cpu. It ran gmod on all low. With core i7 in the title im guessing fraps wont hurt your fps rate 1 bit.

That cost you 2.3 grand? Seriously, you have an i7 920, when an i5 would do just as well, and a gts 240, which is a pretty mediocre card for such a highend computer. I say that because you have 12 gigs of ram, which is entirely unjustifiable in a rig with a GTS 240 in it. Also, if you had built this yourself you could've easily gotten it for 750 less, probably pushing a thousand if you made some good buys. Though regardless of how it could be better, it'll demolish GMod and any of the other titles that matter today. But again, to answer your initial question, yeah, you can run gmod :P I wouldn't go around bragging to your friends though, because you didn't exactly make the world's greatest buy.
