I have had Garry's Mod for about a week and I have been playing it with my friend. We were playing on a RP server and all was good, other than me not having the Half Life 2 or Counter Strike : Source textures. I decided to buy these games to get the textures, and ever since I downloaded these games I have not been able to connect to any Garry's Mod servers. It get to the point where it is receiving the server info then Garry's Mod stops responding. I have also tried to uninstall Garry's Mod and re-install it, but that didn't help. Does anyone know a way to fix this problem?

Have you tried to run CS:S and HL2 before running GMod?
try and see if all the games are set to update when available.
