• Good server provider?

First of all I'm hoping this is the right forum to post this in because I'm not sure if i should post it in help and support. It don't see it fitting there and i wouldn't consider this thread a "Server-Advertisement thread". I was thinking about getting myself a 12-24 slot server for me and my friends and of course the public. I was going to get a [sp]Gmod.EU[/sp] server at first but they went out of stock before i had the chance to pay for one. (Spoiler-tagged the "advertisement".) If possible i want mostly the same features as on that site. TCadmin. FastDL. Svn. Options to install gamemodes without uploading and so un. For it to be available directly after purchasing would be great too. Cheap is of course a plus. European location is required. I was thinking about Brohoster but that isn't available anymore. Do you have any suggestions on a good server provider? Thanks on forehand.
Sadly most of the "good" GMod gameservers provider are gone, gmod.eu is a huge no-no, you're better with buying your own VPS that allows you to have full management on your server(s) and you can get a good one with spending a little money.
NFO. I have a server there and it's pretty stable.

It was one of the cheaper ones i found and seemed to offer just what i wanted. I'm not fully against getting a VPS though however I'm not exactly sure what it means. I understand that i would have to set everything up myself but aren't there bandwidth limitations and shit? I don't really want to upload all the content to the server either because of my really slow upload speed.
NFO. NFO are by fair the best Windows VPS host I've ever had. Sadly NFO don't host in Europe, but there NY datacentre will give some pretty good pings to europe. 100/110. Most of my EU playerbase prefer the US server due to having less kids & better hardware. NFO is amazing though, the customer supporter along is in my top5 and I've used a lot of dedicated/vps services. A VPS is literally a virtual server, hence the name VPS ;). Basically you have a server you connect to, it will be Windows and will look to most like a barren desktop once connected. You can download any content directly from anywhere to the server, even from garrysmod.org. It's as if your downloading it to your desktop. You will get a lot more performance from NFO $30 dedi option that 99% of Gmod hosters. Also, they offer freewindows on there VPS services, which is rare. Usually you're talking $15-40 per month just for a windows license. I'm really tired and my mind talks poop, but to show what I mean by a virtual desktop this is my NFO VPS: http://gyazo.com/e9074e5c67401eb42a7aa4abee652f34.png You can see my computer running in the background, this forum page is there etc. Then you have the RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol/Connection), this gives you full access to your VPS. It's just like setting one up on your home pc, only with a dedicated network. You can choose the addons, what slots you want to run and literally everything. It's all really simple :) For a Build server / TTT or any RP community starting up I would recommend a VPS from NFO or similar providers.
If i get the 30$ package, will the bandwidth be enough for keeping my server online 24/7? Do you know any garrysmod servers hosted on NFO so i could check out the ping? Would i be able to host a minecraft server on a server like that? (Not on at the same time as the garrysmod one).
If i get the 30$ package, will the bandwidth be enough for keeping my server online 24/7?
1000 GB of InterNAP bandwidth transfer Yes. 1 or 2 Garrysmod servers will not go over 1000GB. ByB RP1 & RP3 combined with Sban web hosting & FastDownload do not hit over 500GB. And I'd really not recommend running 2 popular DarkRP servers on a VPS anyway, not without getting another core, which comes with more bandwidth! tl:dr Yes, more than enough. Will also be enough for Fast Download server.

But if i want the lowest ping in sweden, Is the new york one the right alternative?
Yes, you could try @ http://www.gamingdeluxe.co.uk/game-servers/gmod for a decent UK ping. I've only had dedicated server/colocation from them. But the guys who run it are always quick to reply to support tickets and are helpful. Not sure if they do SVN though, probably not.
When you search for a good VPS / Dedicated Server that is hostet in europe I recommend Hetzner. http://www.hetzner.de/en/ - Excellent performance - Fast and well support - Fair prices.
Isn't 100gbit bandwith very little? And It's kind of expensive seeing as you have to pay for windows.
Isn't 100gbit bandwith very little? And It's kind of expensive seeing as you have to pay for windows.
NFO don't charge for windows on there VPS. 1000gbit, not 100b. That's 1TB, ignoring the whole 1024 thing. Garrysmod does not use that much bandwidth. There are NO garrysmod servers that use over 1TB band width a month. Including FastDL.
I'm so scared of getting terrible ping though
Xenon Servers is pretty cheap, not the best in customer satisfaction but it's really cheap.
I can offer you Garry's Mod servers in Rotterdam (The Netherlands). I can also offer you dedicated servers in The Netherlandsif you're looking for that but you'll have to contact me regarding that because the ones currently listed on the website have lowered in price quite a lot and are in the US(I'm currently working on a new dedi page which is why it isn't updated). Just check the link in my user title. shameless advertising, but maybe I can actually help him...
http://www.envision-host.com is a pretty good one and the cheapest as far as i know
If i do not like the hosting from NFO I'm probably going to settle for a server from any of those sites you guys suggested. Thanks.
fluctishosting
I can vouch for them, I have had a Garry's Mod and still have a Minecraft server from them. The Garry's Mod server was the most stable I had ever run. I spammed that server into shit and it still didn't lag.
http://www.client.qualitygsp.com/aff.php?aff=003 is a good one i tried my hardest to crash a server of theirs once. prop limit was at 200. had another guy trying to. it did get laggy but only client lag. the server stayed up just fine. only way i could crash it was npcs and that took probably 200 of those mixed with props flying around
Xenon Servers is pretty cheap, not the best in customer satisfaction but it's really cheap.
I really hope you're kidding. For a 10 slot server, it's $20. If the servers were actually decent, I could see paying it, but their servers lag right from the start, support consists of friends of the owners who tell you, "It's because of your addons." (even though I ran in vanilla), etc. Steer clear.
