IS it possible to download css on someone elses profile and get the textures on another account?

Is it possible to get Counter Strike Source Textures by going onto a friends account, download counter strike, log into my account (All on the same computer) and get the counter strike textures for garrys mod?

Use GFCScape to copy the CS:S folders called [i]Models, Materials, Sound,[/i] and [i] Maps[/i] onto your [i]garrysmod/garrysmod/[/i] directory and let the new folders merge with the old ones. Nothing will be replaced.

I did this with my brother but you couldn't hear the sounds from guns. So he got tired of it and bought the game when it was on sale.

Just download the source dedicated server, setup a css server, take the materials/models/sounds folder, put them in an addon and you've got it.

Piece of cake, takes time though.

I did that for a while but I broke down and bought CS:S and wiped my GMod folder

Its not warez since it does not have anything todo with pirating files, if you call using files that already exist on your computer but which you are not suppose to use warez then well.

It is NOT warez or illegal. He's got the content, not the game itself. If he had a cracked version of the game I could see, but he simply wants the models and media so he can see them in GMod. Plus there are many legal sites out there offer GCF downloads, it helps people who own the game install quicker because you don't have to spend 100 hours downloading them.

It has something to do with soundscapes. They're handled differently by CSS than in G's Mod.

I don't see how it'd be any quicker to download the GCF from a website that downloading it from Steam..
