Steam achievements - Garry's Mod

I would like to draw attention on Gmod achievements in steam. If you've ever given a look at them you can tell that Addict achievement is one of the most horrible in steam. If not the worst. To me it ruins the idea of achievements and I'd like to see it removed along with the achievement "yes I am the real garry. As garry doesn't play anymore. I would like to know if I can get any backup for this. Doubt they'll make any changes, but can't blame me from trying.

It is kind of a valid point; why have achievements that don't do anything? Also, the winner of the fretta contest(hi TTT) was said to be given GMOD achievements, what ever happened to that?

If they are impossible to get for you, then just use SAM to get them. Achievement are a joke anyways.

The only one you can't reasonably expect to get is the meet garry one. Everything else is totally possible. The only ones I don't have after *two years of playing are: Addict (3/4ths of the way there.) I've met the requirements for Addict but I haven't gotten it yet for some reason. Even all the times I've played "offline" (either due to Steam server failure or my internet being a shit) shouldn't count, because I [I]know[/I] I haven't played offline for 448 hours.

I don't think I've sat in the main menu for that long either.

If you want to get achievements that involve gametime, I've heard you can go into your gmod directory, replace hl2.exe with some other program (calculator perhaps?) and start the game in steam. It will open calculator, but steam will count the time its open as you playing gmod. If you keep your computer on for long periods of time, it would be an excellent way of racking up game time and enlarging your epeen.

I don't get why people care so much about achievements, there no huge reward from them. Part from the funny of getting it but lets face it there isn't many fun achievements in garry's mod unless you love spaming props or stalking garry.

Funny because I actually got the "Yes, I am the real garry!" achievement legitimately. He was streaming gmod playing random TTT servers and joined one I was developer on, every one was so amazed when they got the acheivement and didn't care that he was RDM'ing people with a sniper

fix all of your achievement woes by installing evolve admin mod on your serving and /ach-ing your self all day
