This fits more along the lines of being posted in the screenshots section, but it seems worth sharing with all of you as well.
I've been making scenes in gmod for a couple of years now and the biggest thing I've learned is the importance of art 101 type fundamentals. In this guide, I cover some of those basics and how they can be applied in the context of Gmod.
There are loads of guides out there that really don't cover the important parts and teach bad habbits (lamps make good scenes, spawn lots of them and then turn up the bloom. And don't forget to turn off anti-aliasing!)
