When I started up Gmod, I noticed something in the corner where the version date usually is, I don't remember the exact words, but it said something like "You are on a branch, click here to learn more", I'm sure I didn't sign up to be on any branches, and I would feel more confident in myself if I wasn't on one. But when the game was unfrozen, it showed the normal numbers - 2015.03.05, why did it do that?
You are either on the main branch or dev branch. Goto Steam -> Garry's Mod -> Properties -> Betas to check which you are on.
