• Gmod Voice Pitch

So this is just some idea that will never happen even if it could happen as this was just a joke tossed around between some friends but we were discussing if there's any way of making some sort of script or whatever that measured the pitch / tone of the persons voice who's speaking into the mic in gmod then it would use the measured pitch to determine whether the person speaking should be able to be heard in game (just doesn't emit sound from his mic) #RIPKIDS However this plan has some flaws as how would you compensate for a females voice? Or maybe people who are of a mature age but may have a higher voice than others? I can't myself think of anyway to compensate for that can you? Discuss below lads let me know what you think. Once again this was just some joke me and some friends tossed around nothing serious at all I just wan't to hear your guy's opinions :)
Ask them if they like FNAF. Works wonders as a kid-detector.
I actually thought about doing this same thing 2 years ago, but instead of muting them I was gonna just have it lower the pitch of their voice. That way they can still talk and everyone is happy. Personally I felt just muting someone for having a high pitched voice is a dick move, mainly because I think kids should be judge by their actions and not by their voice. I think you would need some custom .dll file or whatever to do this because as far as I know we do not have access to all of the voice commands in lua. I think the only thing we even have access to is the ability to turn someones mic on without them knowing. I heard that in gmod 2 ,or whatever it shall be called, we would hopefully get better control over things like that, but it might have been just rumors.
