• VPS for server hosting?

I don't have much experience here knowing how many players can be connected to a host without much lag, so I need some advice. If I were to run a VPS from a company like RamNode, for example, is it possible to host 50-60 players at once with their packages? Or would I need a dedicated server? I'm trying to test out a new gamemode of mine that has minimal prop interaction, so that's that. There won't be any physics-heavy interaction. Anyway, I appreciate the help.
For just one server you're probably better off just getting a basic gameserver from a company like NFOservers or GMChosting. Unless you really need to use that extra bit of control or want to do a couple other small things on your server e.g. mumble. The other big advantage of those hosts is DDOS protection, most VPSes won't really do much, some like vultr offer something (vultr offers 10 gbps) but gmod DDOS attacks can be much bigger. If you need a bit more of a performance guarantee, you might look at a company like vultr (spoilers, I personally use them) or digitalocean which provide VDS servers (I think digitalocean does idk), where the cores are dedicated to you, but it's still a virtual server. Though the pricing on that also isn't really suitable for a single game server. Actually when we're just talking about VPSes in general I might recommend those two companies more as they charge hourly and not monthly, so if you find that the server isn't performing how you need it, you can just take a snapshot and move on.

I wouldn't roll RamNode for game server hosting..I don't know if they run a fast enough CPU on shared to run a Gmod server but maybe. I'd try something such as NFO VDS or ForceCloud.io ForceCloud has been great for me - I pay $6 a month and run a 20 slot Gmod server on linux from it. Absolutely no complaints and it runs like a top.
Hetzner is very complicated, but if you know how to do it, it would work perfect. Poke me on steam (Toedeli) for a bit help :) P.S : Get CentOS on it if you decide so. The server are cheap for the quality : 1gb/s, 20TB GB Traffic, 32/36 GB RAM, i7 2600 And that all for 31 EUR... If you want it easy, NFO Server does the basic stuff.
Why are you spamming your shit everywhere
I made two relevant replies, so I'd hardly call it spam. As to why; I think the EU hosting scene is currently very low quality in terms of hardware, ddos mitigation and support especially for the prices you're paying - so instead of complaining, I took action.
