DarkRP HUD - Shorten Name in Lua

Hello Facepunch Community,
I have the problem and i really couldn't find any help on this yet.

I want to make a HUD, i know how to display and design everything, but when a player has a name too long for the HUD, it sticks out
Now i want to make this, if PlayerName > 6 then (get first 6 Letters and add an ...)

I just need a way to get the Length of the Name in numbers, the rest i can do alone...
