Copying npcs_base.lua format and making NPCs, Help

So I just discovered that you can copy a .lua file and add my own garry's mod npcs in without making an addon or using one. However, I'm trying to use weapons from another addon, but it wont let me. Anyone know how I can give my NPC weapons from another addon?
