I've seen a few of these floating around, but being a stickler for accuracy with movie and TV props/content, I wasn't happy with using any of the ones I could find.
[U][B]What's makes my Mr. Bean TDC skins different from others?[/B][/U]
[B]Accurate Paint Colors. [/B]
The two primary factory paint codes for the screen used Mini during the TV series were "Applejack Green" and "Citron Green". The general consensus among replica builders is that "Applejack Green" was used for the majority of the shows lifespan. But other's theorize that it may be in fact "Citron Green" as the color was only just on it's way out around the year Mr. Bean's car was manufactured.
My skins give you a choice of both actual paint colors, taken from official Mini paint charts.
- Skin 2: Applejack Green
- Skin 3: Citron Green
[B]Accurate Hood/Bonnet. [/B]
Many users seem to make the car hood solid gloss black. The hood in the TV series was actually "Matte Black". My skins reflect this by removing the phong on the hood sections. It also uses a shade ever so slightly lighter than black, as using solid black in texturing looks somewhat unrealistic/too dark.
[B]Car Badges. [/B]
The Mini used in the TV series was not a "Mini Cooper". It was a fairly standard "Austin Mini". My skins have the Austin badge on the hood, and the classic "MINI 1000" badge on the trunk.
Unfortunately the model used for TDM is not an Austin Mini as the grill shapes are different and other slight changes, but I'm not a modeller so there's little I can do about that I'm afraid.

[I]Note: I'd love to be able to retexture the interior to be as it is in the show, and to texture on Bean's license plate. But unfortunately I can neither find the correct VTF files, nor do I believe it can be done specifically with the switchable skins. If anyone knows of a way to do so, I'll be happy to update this addon.
